Learn about Commonplace · one of four

A live read on literary health

Every club that meets leaves a trace — who came, who kept coming, how the conversation went. Commonplace rolls those traces into one dashboard, so you can see your reading program the way you see enrollment.

What the dashboard shows

  1. Attendance, week over week

Check-ins from every club, by program. You'll see a club losing steam two weeks before its host emails you about it.

  2. Participation, not just presence

From consented recordings, summaries capture how the conversation went — never a transcript on your desk. Talk-distribution metrics are coming.

  3. Reporting your provost will read

Participation reporting you can hand your provost — exportable today, with a one-page semester summary on the roadmap.

How the numbers are made

Every metric is aggregated and consent-gated: nothing enters the dashboard unless the room agreed to record, and no administrator ever sees an individual student's words — only patterns across clubs.
