Delete your account

Account deletion is available inside the Commonplace app and does not require contacting support.

Pre-launch notice: paid subscriptions will remain unavailable until the Commonplace legal entity and its authoritative contact details are finalized.

In the app

Open Settings, choose Privacy & data, then choose Delete account. Review the disclosure and confirm with your account email. The deletion request is not blocked by an active subscription.

What deletion does

Commonplace deletes the account and account-scoped records, schedules user-owned raw audio for deletion, removes or de-identifies provider customer records, and signs the user out. Provider cleanup retries safely if an external service is temporarily unavailable.

Shared circle summaries and other records needed by remaining members can remain. Consent evidence can remain after the user identifier is removed. These exceptions are shown before confirmation.

Apple subscription

Deleting the account does not cancel billing through Apple. Use the Manage subscription action in the app or Apple’s subscription settings to cancel separately.

Email hello@commonplacebookclub.com from the address associated with the account. Commonplace will verify the request before acting.
