Privacy
This notice explains what Commonplace collects, why it is needed, who processes it, and what happens when you export or delete your account.

Information Commonplace handles
Commonplace handles account identity and contact information; circle membership, invitations, schedules, attendance, consent decisions, votes, notes, reflections, searches, and product interactions; microphone recordings, transcripts, summaries, and other content you choose to contribute; purchase and subscription status; and limited device or diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the service.
Commonplace does not sell personal information, use conversation data for advertising, or track people across other companies’ apps and websites.
Recording and AI processing
Recording remains blocked until each person marked present makes an explicit decision for that meeting. Before agreeing, the app identifies recording, transcription, AI summarization and search processing, the relevant processors, and the retention rule.
Depending on the feature, Commonplace uses WorkOS for identity, Railway for application hosting, Cloudflare R2 for audio storage, Deepgram for transcription, Anthropic for summaries and archive answers, Voyage AI for embeddings, RevenueCat and Apple for subscription status, and Expo for app delivery and notifications. Sentry receives diagnostic data only when error reporting is enabled.
Retention
Raw meeting and reflection audio is scheduled for deletion no later than 30 days after its applicable processing or creation date. Transcripts, summaries, membership records, notes, and account data are retained while needed to provide the service or until the applicable account or shared record is deleted.
Deleting an account removes or de-identifies account-linked data. Shared circle records can remain for the other members, and the consent audit record can remain after the user identifier is removed. Commonplace does not describe those retained records as deleted.
Your choices
The app provides account export and deletion controls. Instructions are also available at /delete-account. Deleting Commonplace does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple; cancellation is managed in the Apple subscription settings.
