Eligibility and account responsibility

Commonplace is for people who are 18 or older. You are responsible for accurate account information, your sign-in credentials, and activity performed through your account.

Use the service lawfully and respect the privacy, safety, and intellectual property of other circle members. Reports are reviewed by the Commonplace team; hosts can remove members, and members can block another member.

Recording and shared content

Do not record unless every person present has agreed in the app. A decline prevents recording. A later arrival who has not agreed pauses new capture.

You retain rights in content you author. You grant Commonplace the limited permission needed to store, process, display, and share it with the relevant circle. Shared records may include contributions from people who later leave, block another member, or delete an account.

AI output

Transcripts, summaries, archive answers, and other AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review important output against the conversation and source material. Commonplace does not provide legal, medical, financial, educational-placement, or crisis advice.

Subscriptions

Paid plans renew monthly through Apple unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. The App Store purchase sheet supplies the authoritative localized price. Plan changes, cancellation, billing issues, refunds, and subscription management are handled through Apple and reflected in Commonplace after verification.

Deleting a Commonplace account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. Commonplace provides a management link before deletion but does not block an eligible deletion request.

Service changes and contact

Commonplace can change or discontinue features, suspend abusive accounts, and update these terms prospectively. Material changes will be presented through the service when required. Contact hello@commonplacebookclub.com with questions.
